Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy in New York and New Jersey

Welcome to my practice!

There are many reasons to come to therapy.   Here are the most common ones that I see in my practice:

  • Feelings of anxiety, depression, failure, or anger that are difficult to tolerate and don’t go away easily
  • Significant conflict with a spouse, significant other, sibling, coworker, or boss
  • Caring for someone who is difficult to love, for example, a “narcissist”
  • Considering estrangement; being estranged from a loved one; considering how to reconcile with someone you're estrangemed from
  • Transitioning to a new stage of life, e.g., college, starting a family, or looking to change careers or retire
  • Facing the challenges of parenting
  • Losing a loved one
  • Behaving in ways that hurt or destroy your life and your relationships, for example, addictions to substances, pornography, food, etc.

Do any of these strike a chord with you?   Do you find that situations in your life that you could previously tolerate have worsened or become unbearable?  Or are you experiencing a desire to live in a more healthy, open way?  If you said “yes” to any of these reasons, you may benefit from therapy.

My goal as your therapist is to facilitate in a caring way insight into challenges in your life and to work with you to create positive emotional and behavior change in your personal and work the relationships.

“Only that day dawns to which we are awake.”
